Amanda Fontenot, AuD

Dr. Amanda Fontenot is an audiologist and holds her doctoral degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.Dr. Fontenot became passionate about hearing and hearing loss after her father had a heart attack at a young age causing permanent hearing loss. She knows first hand how hearing loss can affect family and loved ones. Her dad, an engineer, is her first and longest standing patient who tries out all new technology as it comes out and reports back on the best devices and features.Dr. Fontenot started her career in audiology in a large ENT practice in Houston. There, she gained comprehensive experience in all areas of audiology including hearing tests, hearing aids, vestibular testing, ABR, cochlear implants and started a tinnitus program. Dr. Fontenot has 10 years experience and prides herself on using best practices for hearing aid fittings. At The Woodlands Hearing Center patients receive the highest level of care and attention to find the best possible solution for their hearing. We work with all styles, types and manufacturers of hearing devices as well as use extensive measures of verification to ensure proper fittings.
