Dawn Heiman, AuD is the founder and sole practitioner of Advanced Audiology Consultants. She is an expert audiologist, evaluating and treating hearing disorders and fitting hearing aids. Many patients have happily reported that they were thrilled that they came to her with their hearing needs. Dr. Dawn many times simply makes corrections to the settings in her patients’ current hearing aids using Real Ear Measurement, meaning they did not need to purchase new instruments to hear better.Dr. Dawn Heiman specializes in hearing loss treatments with an extensive background in hearing aids, cochlear implants, central auditory processing disorders, tinnitus, and musicians' hearing conservation. She has lectured on various topics regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, psychosocial aspects of hearing loss, prevention of hearing loss, cochlear implants, and auditory processing disorders to various private and public groups in hospitals, and civic organizations in the Philadelphia and Chicago areas.Over the past 20 years, she has worked in many dynamic, fast-paced audiology clinical settings, including: her clinical fellowship at the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, as a senior audiologist at Temple University Children’s Medical Center and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as the owner of Aberdeen Audiology in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Additionally, she managed the Adult Audiology, Pediatric Audiology, and Newborn Hearing Screening programs for the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois.She also loves to teach and supervise audiology students. She has been a clinical supervisor for Audiology students from Temple University, Rutgers University, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, University of Colorado, Salus University, Rush University, and Northwestern University.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children in Woodridge, IL. She also enjoys reading, running, and competing in events with her friends.‍‍
