Dr. Holli Lish is a board certified audiologist with 25 years of audiology experience. Holli’s impressive range of experience includes work in hospitals, schools, clinics, and private practices, where she has developed a reputation for expert and personable care.Holli is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, The Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology, and the American Academy of Doctors of Audiology, in addition to being certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.Holli’s educational experience includes a Doctorate in Audiology from A.T Still University, a Master of Arts degree from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida.Besides helping people improve their lives through better hearing, Holli’s other passions include fitness, good food, and spending time with her husband Jeff and their two teenage sons.Why do you feel Best Practices are critical for optimal Hearing Aid performance?"It provides a uniform standard of care for all patients.  Following best practices can ensure best possible outcomes for all patients. Sometimes people have had a long standing history of hearing loss and hey do not know what sound is supposed to sound like; following best practices and specifically including REM as part of the fitting, you can objectively see what’s going on in the ear." Why did you feel compelled to join the Dr. Cliff Approved Provider Network?"The Dr. Cliff Approved Provider Network provided a network of like-minded hearing health care professionals whose main goal is better outcomes with amplification for patients. It is often collaborative which ensures best treatment practices as a standard across the country." What do you like best about Audiology?"The best part of Audiology is being an integral part of bringing communication and CONNECTIONS back to our patients.  Making them feel more connected to their families and to be more confident in the workplace is the most rewarding part of the job!" What was your journey to becoming an Audiologist?"I always knew I wanted to be in the “helping professions”. I began college as a Pre-Med major but became disenchanted with all of the labs and the lack of personal contact.  I switched my major to Speech Pathology which immediately gave me more access to find out about people and specific disorders.  The speech pathology program overlapped with the Audiology program and I discovered I loved audiology and it was more cut and dry. I could either help someone or I could not.  I also learned quickly that if I were good at my job, I would be connected to my patients and serve them for many, many years.  In other professions, like speech pathology, if I was good at my job, the patients would be discharged, and I would not have the opportunity to develop these lifelong relationships."  ‍‍
