Sarah Fisher, AuD

Dr. Sarah Kate Fisher was born and raised in Huntsville and received her bachelor’s from the University of Alabama and her doctorate from Auburn University.Although her purpose as an audiologist is to treat hearing loss and other hearing disorders, she doesn’t just focus on the ears, she also focuses on the person. Any given day, you will catch Dr. Fisher completing a functional hearing assessment, fitting someone with their first hearing aids, counseling a patient’s family on the best communication strategies, taking impressions for hearing protection, evaluating other ear disorders (such as tinnitus, misophonia, hyperacusis), or just cleaning earwax from a patient’s ear.Her favorite thing about being part of the team is that “we’re all researchers, if there’s a new article being published that could improve patient care, we all discuss it and come up with ways to implement it into the practice.”Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading books, hiking, crocheting, and watching Supercross and college football. ‍
