Amanda Lopez, AuD

Dr. Amanda Lopez is an audiologist with a true passion for improving the lives of those affected by hearing loss, tinnitus, and other communication disorders. She is committed to delivering patient-centered care and applying the use of “best practices” to each patient at every stage of their hearing care journey. She has 16 years of experience with evidence-based practices to maximize each patient’s benefit from audiological services, helping to minimize the effort for patients to communicate in many listening situations.

Dr. Lopez has worked in a variety of settings, including the Louis Stokes Veterans Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She has also worked at a private practice in Albuquerque and for a hearing instrument manufacturer. Most recently, she supervised a team of providers for Jabra, a direct-to-consumer/telehealth company.

She is licensed to practice in eight states and can deliver remote care to those who may have two homes or those who are unable to visit the office.

Dr. Lopez is a proud native New Mexican hailing from Roswell. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico in 2004 and her Doctoral degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2009. Dr. Lopez is a proud member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is proficient in Spanish and continues to take classes to fine-tune her skills.

Interestingly, Dr. Lopez‘s older brother is an audiologist practicing in El Paso, Texas. She and her brother discovered their passion for the profession through observing the struggles their grandmother experienced living with a profound hearing loss. Outside of work, Dr. Lopez enjoys gardening, attending concerts, exploring the outdoors with her partner, James, and their dogs, as well as trying new local restaurants with family and friends.
