Anna McCraney, AuD

Dr. Anna McCraney, a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine under the directorship of Dr. James Jerger, the founding father of modern audiology, has always been committed to best practices. To publicly demonstrate her commitment to following best practices, she became certified by the American Board of Audiology in 2009, a voluntary pursuit with more stringent requirements than those for licensure. As a graduate student, she once asked Dr. Jerger why it was that that they always did more testing than everyone else. His response was "Because if we don't ask the questions, we won't find the answers." For 30 years, that tenant has remained her professional guidepost for the provision of comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology including treatment of hearing loss, tinnitus, and auditory processing disorder. Having worked in varied settings including at Texas Children's Hospital, in private practice, in industry (manufacturer of middle ear implant), and at the Veteran's Administration, she has experience with patients of all ages and an array of treatment modalities including auditory training, hearing aids, and hearing implants.
