Krista Szalc, Au.D., FAAA

Audiologist Dr. Krista Szalc founded Krista Szalc Audiology, PLLC, in Dansville and Hornell, NY, with a simple goal: Bring honest, high-quality hearing care to her community in a way that feels comfortable, personal, and never rushed. For over 20 years, she has helped patients of all ages navigate hearing challenges with practical solutions that make sense for how people actually live.

Dr. Szalc earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University after graduating from SUNY Fredonia. Her experience spans everything from diagnostic testing and balance care to advanced hearing technology and cochlear implants. She also trained other hearing professionals while working with a global hearing aid manufacturer.

What sets Dr. Szalc apart is her commitment to meeting patients where they are. Whether someone is new to hearing care or has struggled for years, she takes the time to listen first and guide patients toward solutions that match their lifestyle, needs, and budget.

Outside the office, Dr. Szalc enjoys life on the family farm in Alfred with her husband and four children. That rural lifestyle is a big part of who she is, and it’s exactly why so many patients feel at ease in her care.
