Monica Duve, AuD

Dr. Duve is from Dubuque, Iowa.  She earned her Doctorate degree in 2001 from the University of Florida and her Master’s degree in 1997 from the University of Iowa.  She has been Clinic Director for Killean Audiology & Hearing Aid Centers since 1997 and has managed the Dubuque, Iowa location since 2009.  She is past President of the Iowa Hearing Association (2013-2015).  Her Audiology specialties include diagnostic testing, hearing aid fitting and service, tinnitus treatment and custom hearing protection.  Dr. Duve is committed to Best Practices in Audiology.  By joining the Best Practice PRO Network (Dr. Cliff Olsen approved), she holds herself to the standards of evidence-based practice for those with hearing loss.   Implementing published and verified Best Practices in Audiology, including aided versus. unaided speech-in-noise testing, real ear measurement, documented validation of results and continual aftercare, assures that patients receive maximum benefit from hearing aid use and other patient-centered and customized care. When she is not studying the latest innovations in hearing technology, she can be found spending time with her family, training her German/Aussie Shepherd or taking advantage of the beautiful scenery along the bluffs of the Mississippi river.  ‍
