What's the difference between hearing aid apps and regular Bluetooth settings?

Your hearing aid's dedicated app (like Oticon ON, ReSound Smart 3D, or Phonak myPhonak) offers much more control than your phone's standard Bluetooth settings. Through the app, you can adjust volume, change programs, check battery levels, find lost hearing aids, and fine-tune sound settings for different environments. The app also allows you to save preferred settings and sometimes offers remote support from your hearing care provider.
